Maria Montessori observed that young children are naturally inclined towards activities that allow them to utilize their sense of order and have an innate drive towards independence. Montessori lessons for toddlers are designed to promote self-sufficiency, incorporate a self-correcting element, engage the senses, and enhance both gross and fine motor skills, aligning with the developmental interests of very young children.

A key principle of Montessori philosophy is to empower children to "Help me to do it myself," emphasizing learning through hands-on experiences and fostering a sense of achievement derived from everyday tasks and activities.

In the Toddler class, practical life exercises focus on developing coordination, concentration, and independence. Through repeated practice, children enhance their ability to concentrate and coordinate movements, leading to increased independence in caring for themselves and their surroundings. Toddlers are capable of tasks such as cleaning up spills, setting the table, and washing dishes.

Lessons in Montessori education are primarily delivered through the use of Montessori materials and exercises. The curriculum is interdisciplinary, with no subject taught in isolation. Montessori materials are designed for sequential learning, building upon each other to create a strong foundation. Learning in this environment is purposeful and joyful.

For primary age children, the focus is on sensorial learning. Lessons are aimed at refining the senses through exploration of sensorial materials, helping children categorize and organize the qualities around them. The Language program emphasizes spoken language, writing, and reading, starting with phonetic sounds and cursive sandpaper letters. Practical Life exercises help children develop independence, concentration, coordination, and social skills through activities like preparing snacks and arranging flowers, leading to a sense of accomplishment and joy.
